چکیده

Reset controllers are linear controllers that reset some of their states to zero when their input is zero. We are interested in their feedback connection with linear plants, and in this paper we establish fundamental closed-loop properties. This paper considers more general reset structures than previously considered, allowing for higher-order controllers and partial-state resetting. It gives a testable necessary and sufficient condition for quadratic stability and links it to uniform bounded-input bounded-output state stability. Unlike previous related research, which includes the study of impulsive differential equations, our stability results require no assumptions on the evolution of reset times.

Towards ℓ2ℓ2-stability of discrete-time reset control systems via dissipativity theory

This paper proposes conditions on input-output stability of discrete-time reset systems by using some key dissipativity properties. In the continuoustime setting, dissipativity of the base linear system is preserved under reset actions if the storage function is decreasing at reset times. Indeed, when the reset system is full reset, the dissipativity of the base linear system ensures the dissip...

An impulsive dynamical systems framework for reset control systems

Impulsive dynamical systems is a well-established area of dynamical systems theory, and it is used in this work to analyze several basic properties of reset control systems: existence and uniqueness of solutions, and continuous dependence on the initial condition (well-posedness). The work scope is about reset control systems with a linear and time-invariant base system, and a zero-crossing res...

Stability of time-delay reset systems with a nonlinear and time-varying base system

This work is devoted to investigate the stability properties of time-delay reset systems. We present a Lyapunov-Krasovskii proposition, which generalizes the available results in the literature, providing results for verifying the stability of time-delay reset systems with nonlinear and time-varying base system. We demonstrate the applicability of the proposed results in the analysis of time-de...

Improved $Lcal_2$-Gain Analysis for a Class of Hybrid Systems with Applications to Reset and Event-Triggered Control

In this paper, we consider a special class of hybrid systems with periodic time-triggered jump conditions, and in which the jump map has a piecewise linear character. This hybrid systems class forms a relevant field of study as different control applications can be modeled in this hybrid system framework, including reset control and event-triggered control systems. After showing the unifying mo...

Delay-independent stability via reset loops

An important aspect that must be taken into account in many control applications is the presence of delay in the loop, which can be the source of performance degradation or even instability (see, for example, [16], [17] and references therein). A control architecture that received much attention in recent years is that of reset control. Reset control systems can be represented by means of diffe...
